Chief Executive Officer for the new United Way Waterloo Region Communities

You are an inclusive, values-based leader who is deeply motivated to serve your community and to build on your track record of successfully implementing strategic priorities. Throughout your career or your volunteer contributions, you have built trusted relationships with corporate, community, government, and labour leaders. Having worked to address systemic community challenges, you appreciate the complexity of the not-for-profit sector and understand the public policy issues affecting the cities, townships and villages within a similar geographic area. Experienced in interacting with or serving on a volunteer board, you are also a proven fundraising leader and organizational spokesperson.
In this vital and transformational role, you will work with your leadership team to build a new United Way to serve seven communities in Waterloo region drawing on the strong assets, resources and relationships of the existing United Way organizations. You will ensure the sustainable growth of revenues and volunteer resources, and enhance the organization’s capacity to deliver and sustain impact in its community priority areas. Ten years work experience as senior executive, five plus years of management experience, preferably in a non-profit organization, fund-raising, commitment to health and human services, and a Bachelor's degree are required. Postgraduate studies desired. Must be willing to relocate to Waterloo region communities in southwestern Ontario. We offer competitive salary and excellent benefits.
