A critical mandate awaits the new Registrar & CEO of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of BC. With a passion for serving and protecting the public interest, the Registrar & CEO is charged with oversight for all administrative functions and duties of the College in accordance with the Health Professions Act, the College bylaws and the Board’s governance policies and guidelines. The Registrar provides thoughtful and intelligent leadership to the Board and an established and dedicated staff and steers policy development and implementation, operations planning, human resources and financial management, legislative affairs, and registrant and external relations.
The Registrar & CEO will bring a collaborative approach to stakeholder relations and will have a sharp focus on enacting and enabling the College’s mission. With integrity at his/her core, the Registrar & CEO will be a seasoned leader with 10+ years’ experience running all facets of an organization. With a proven track record of working with a myriad of stakeholders, including the provincial government, to further a progressive mandate, ideally, the Registrar & CEO will have worked within a licensing/regulatory body and bring a deep understanding of the various underlying complexities. Preferably with a working knowledge of the Health Professions Act, the incumbent will possess the presence to ensure credibility and to be viewed and respected as a trusted leader, dedicated to transparency. Experience working with Boards of Directors to guide strategy development and set priorities will be critical to success. The ability to be nimble and help to set and execute on priorities for the College, while remaining focused on the public interest is intrinsic to advancing the College and succeeding as Registrar & CEO.
