The Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (CAIRP) is a national professional organization representing nearly 1000 general members acting as trustees in bankruptcy, administrators of consumer proposals, receivers, liquidators, agents, monitors, and consultants in insolvency matters. CAIRP was created as a non-profit corporation in 1979 to advocate for a fair, transparent and effective system of insolvency/restructuring administration throughout Canada. Today, approximately 90% of Canada’s Licensed Insolvency Trustees are members of CAIRP and hold the Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) designation, which is administered through CAIRP. 

Job Description

With the upcoming retirement of CAIRP’s Director, CAIRP Education Programs, the organization seeks an outstanding new leader to support and continue to improve CAIRP’s CIRP Qualification Program (CQP) and to enhance the Association’s educational offerings. Reporting to the President & COO, the Director, CAIRP Education Programs is responsible for the successful management and oversight of CAIRP’s student educational programs and continuing education for its members across the country. 

Proficient in French and English and knowledgeable about the link between curriculum and assessment, the new Director, CAIRP Education Programs will be a technologically oriented leader with a track record of facilitating program improvements and forging strong relationships with professional member volunteers. The ideal candidate is a natural multi-tasker with a positive outlook and exceptional work ethic, who thrives in a fast-paced, professional environment where collaboration and teamwork are paramount. Possessing excellent communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills, the individual sought will support the organization through education to ensure that CAIRP members are recognized as the go-to professionals in providing expertise in insolvency and restructuring and in finding solutions for individuals and companies in financial difficulty.
