Administrative Coordination
- Provides logistics support for organizational meetings and events
- Liaises effectively with staff, volunteers and association members
- Provides project management support for long-range programs for clients
- Core competency must include strong writing and editing skills
- Strong minute taking, writing and editing skills
Event Coordination
- Ability to plan, monitor and execute small conferences and other events relating to assigned clients
- Liaises with all suppliers from hotel, A/V, speakers, printers, décor companies, entertainment, etc.
- Develop and execute sponsorship programs including solicitation and relationship monitoring
- Knowledge of mobile applications and event websites. Including registration modules

- Ability to provide support for team with multiple responsibilities
- Initiative and capacity to think analytically and independently are required for prioritizing objectives and resolving challenges or conflicts appropriately
- Anticipates required deliverables and has a pro-active approach
- Developed professional organizational skills including ability to coordinate workflow, determine priorities, meet deadlines and effectively balance competing demands within a high pressure environment
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communications skills with proven ability to prepare quality documentation and the capacity and confidence to deal with a wide range of clients, including staff, professionals, and association members
- Versatility, flexibility enthusiasm, self-motivation and initiative, both independently and as a member of a team
- Competent computer and typing skills with experience using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and familiarity with database program
- Ability to assess and utilize new media including presentation software, social media, YouTube and other video channels, and other platforms
- Knowledge of Webinar Production using Adobe-based software
- Working knowledge of Consumer-based marketing programs
Problem Solving, Judgement and Organizational Knowledge
- Incumbent will be expected to work under pressure to meet deadlines and on a variety of clients at the same time
- Required to develop a good understanding of the organization, its policies and procedures and an understanding of the culture and politics which enables the incumbent to deal with and/or refer issues
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Education
- University degree with 3+ years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
Special Conditions:
- Class “G” Driver’s license and reliable vehicle to use on Association business
- The job incumbent may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
- Evening and weekend work as well as travel across Canada will be required.
