Chief Executive Officer

As CEO, you will lead a skilled team dedicated to the development of national policies, positions, and guidelines on behalf of the engineering profession.  You will passionately promote greater understanding of the nature, role, and contribution of professional engineers and engineering to society, and you will work with the regulators to help ensure that the highest professional standards are maintained in the licensing of all Canadian professional engineers.  You will support Engineers Canada’s national Board and provide team leadership to the staff while working with a multitude of provincial, territorial, and federal stakeholders.

As the ideal candidate, you are a strategic thinker and are able to identify opportunities, inspire action, and achieve results. You are a consummate professional, respected for your sensitive, engaging, and inclusive leadership style. You are an intuitive people-person, and are known for your ability to work with and manage diverse groups of stakeholders.  A confident and collegial leader, you harness the potential of gifted individuals to create dynamic and highly effective management teams. You are ideally a professional engineer (P.Eng. or ing.) or have experience working with or as a member of a regulated industry.  You are bilingual, and have experience serving a national Board of Directors.
