Chief Executive Officer

Since being founded in 1938 by a small group of loan inspectors from Winnipeg, the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) has been dedicated to advancing the real estate valuation profession for the benefit of both our members and the public. The AIC is Canada’s leading real property valuation association, providing high-quality property advisory services across the country with over 5,400 members nationally/internationally. For the last 80 years, AIC has worked collaboratively with its 10 affiliated provincial associations to grant the distinguished Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute (AACI™) and Canadian Residential Appraiser (CRA™) designations. As a self-regulating organization, with a Mission to promote and support our members in providing advisory services for the benefit of clients, employers and the public, we very regularly review our Strategic Plan to keep it relevant and to reflect the realities of today’s marketplace. Due to the planned retirement of its long serving current CEO, AIC is now seeking a strategic, collaborative and innovative leader to take the Institute through its next phase of evolution. AIC’s next CEO will have an opportunity to bring strategic vision, progressive practices, and innovation to an organization with a supportive Board, a proud past, and a bright future.
