President & CEO

CanREA was established on July 1, 2020 when the Canadian Wind Energy Association and the Canadian Solar Industries Association united to create one voice for wind energy, solar energy and energy storage solutions that will power Canada’s net-zero future. Its 320+ diverse members include manufacturers, installers, developers, asset managers, financiers, service providers and supply-chain partners who are uniquely positioned to deliver clean, low-cost, reliable, flexible and scalable solutions for Canada’s clean energy needs. CanREA works to create the conditions for a modern energy system through stakeholder advocacy and public engagement. CanREA’s vision is to ensure wind energy, solar energy and energy storage play a central role in transforming Canada’s energy mix to a cleaner standard with benefits to Canada’s economy.

CanREA’s 2050 Vision presents a scenario that would see wind and solar energy supply two-thirds of the new electricity required in Canada by 2050 and one-third of all electricity by that date. This would require Canada to deploy 3,800 MW of wind energy and 1,600 MW of solar energy annually for the next 29 years – increasing Canada’s wind and solar energy capacity almost ten-fold over the next three decades.

As a well-qualified candidate for the position of President & CEO, you are passionate about a sustainable energy future for all Canadians and combine demonstrated experience galvanizing others and the accomplishment of big goals in support of an ambitious vision, with a reputation for exemplary people leadership.
