Manager, Policy and Regulatory Affairs

This full-time position supports the Council’s work on a variety of policy and regulatory issues relevant to the Canadian fisheries sector.

Reporting to the FCC President, the Manager, Policy & Regulatory Affairs, will conduct analyses and assist with policy development relating to issues, including but not limited to, fisheries management, trade, market access, food regulation, marine conservation, climate change, competitiveness, labour, and more.

The Manager, Policy & Regulatory Affairs, will gather information, conduct analysis, produce summaries and support the FCC President in the Council’s advocacy and policy work.  The Manager, Policy & Regulatory Affairs, will also liaise with government stakeholders and industry experts to support the development and delivery of FCC advocacy.

This role is of primary importance in ensuring that Council policy positions are based on relevant analysis, sound policy and member direction, and are consistent with the Council’s strategic priorities.
