This diversified membership enables us to bring together key players with the aim of enhancing professionalism.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our events and membership team.  Reporting to the Vice President, Membership & Events, the Specialist, Membership and Events Engagement promotes and increases public awareness of how Mortgage Professionals Canada is the recognized leader in developing and supporting professionals in the mortgage industry in Canada.  The position supports all efforts to recruit and sustain a diverse, active membership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, deliver and monitor membership-building initiatives to improve recruitment and increase membership base. 
  • Understand current sentiment and expectations of members by leading, developing and maintaining ongoing relationships with corporate members
  • Promote the organization’s value proposition to ensure member loyalty and long-term involvement and ensure a clear value proposition is reinforced in our messaging to members
  • Lead and promotes awareness of organization’s services, offerings and value by planning and executing association events annually across Canada, including national conference, regional symposiums, golf tournaments and trade shows
  • Oversee and support regional chapters to ensure their mandates are achieved and new initiatives are carried through
  • Work with the Marketing Team to increase our social media presence as a tool for engaging the membership
  • Perform other duties and assistance to any position as required

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • A relevant degree, of preference in Business, Communications, or Marketing from an accredited post-secondary institution
  • Proven expertise in customer relationship management
  • Proven track record of successful business development initiatives
  • Awareness of industry trends and issues
  • Solid team leadership and management skills
