Accreditation Coordinator (full-time, one-year maternity leave)

CAIS (Canadian Accredited Independent Schools) is the national organization for independent schools that are committed to unmatched educational experiences and an ongoing commitment to improvement in every aspect of school life. CAIS includes 92 schools in Canada, Bermuda, and Switzerland that undergo a reflective and collaborative school improvement process, meet National Standards, and participate in research and professional development.

We take great pride in offering top-level programs and support to member schools, so we are searching for a self-motivated team player with an eye for detail and exceptional organization skills who enjoys working with a small and flexible virtual team. This position reports to the Director of Accreditation and Research.

Responsibilities would include:

  • Composing and distributing customized e-communications for 100+ volunteers
  • Organizing all logistics for approximately 15 accreditation review committees per school year
  • Developing and managing custom websites with Google sites
  • Acting as a liaison between host schools and accreditation review committees
  • Editing and proofreading comprehensive and confidential reports
  • Building and maintaining reports and templates
  • Managing and tracking report due dates and submissions
  • Reconciling expense claims and reimbursements for volunteers
  • Responding to queries from review team members, member schools, and CAIS staff, escalating enquiries to appropriate sources as required
  • Exercising sound judgement, discretion and professionalism, managing confidential and sensitive matters
  • Working in a self-directed environment that requires clear thinking for quick turnaround of accurate, high-quality deliverables
  • Contributing positively to the culture of our virtual team with positivity, engagement and energy

Education and Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in business administration, education, or a related field.
  • At least five years of progressive and varied administrative experience in a professional environment.
