Chief Executive Officer

The Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) is a non-profit, self-governing, professional association of over 25,000 members. As Ontario's independent certifying body for engineering and applied science technicians and technologists, OACETT confers the designations C.Tech. (Certified Technician) and C.E.T. (Certified Engineering Technologist).  It promotes the interests of engineering and applied science technicians and technologists in industry, educational institutions, the public and government.  With a vision to be the recognized leader in certification and member experience, OACETT supports engineering technology professionals in successfully navigating their careers. 

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of OACETT works closely with the Association’s Executive, Council, and staff to achieve the goals, priorities and strategic vision of OACETT.  As the association continues to grow, the CEO will develop and deliver meaningful programs, that protect the public interest while establishing and maintaining beneficial relationships with members, registrants, industry, government and other stakeholders to enhance member recruitment and retention.

An effective spokesperson and key liaison with stakeholders, you will be the Association’s principal advisor and spokesperson.  With an appreciation of the engineering technology and applied science sector, you are comfortable taking a prominent leadership role in the advancement of the professionals represented by OACETT and are a strong supporter of professional certification.  You are a senior leader with significant experience working with a Council/Board of Directors to achieve organizational priorities. You understand the challenges and opportunities of working within a membership driven organization driving member value.  You have built engagement, trust and credibility with stakeholder groups through effective relationship management. You can lead an organization achieving greater recognition and growth by ensuring the efficient operation, proper regulation, risk and effective management.  Strategic and delivery orientated, you provide the direction and oversight to the Association that will ensure the continued development of the profession.
