The Canadian Association of Broadcasters (CAB) is the national voice of Canada’s private broadcasters. CAB members are a diverse collection of Canadian companies, which work to preserve and enhance Canadian culture, while competing in a global industry. Representing its member organizations across Canada, in the coming years, CAB will play an increasingly important role in the media industry as an advocate, partner, influencer, trusted authority and advisor to government and policy makers.

It is with this context that the CAB is seeking an exceptional leader and strategist as its next President to lead the organization and be a dynamic advocate of the broadcasting industry from coast to coast to coast.

Passionate, vibrant, and driven to succeed, you have an affinity for fostering consensus and demonstrated experience in advocacy. An excellent listener and superb communicator, you have a talent for actualising the potential of others and understand the most important resource of any organization is the people working within it. As the primary liaison with government, and will be a tireless advocate for the positive benefits a strong broadcasting industry has on communities both big and small across the country. You will maintain critical liaison with CAB members and committees, government agencies and departments, and other stakeholders and partners.

As an ideal candidate, you are a skilled leader with experience leading organizations towards ambitious goals. You understand the decision-making processes of provincial and federal governments, and have experience working with a national Board of Directors. You excel when working with a wide variety of stakeholders, and are characterised by others as a leader with impeccable integrity, vision, and drive. You resonate with the values, challenges, and future of a progressive and sustainable Canadian broadcasting industry. Bilingualism is a mandatory requirement for this national role.
