CEO, Habitat for Humanity Saskatchewan
Habitat Saskatchewan is a new provincial organization with an ambitious goal of significantly increasing the number of families it serves annually through its affordable homeownership program. The Board of Directors seeks a Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization in achieving this goal.
Reporting to the Provincial Board of Directors, the CEO will provide leadership and strategic direction to Habitat Saskatchewan for strategic planning; operational programs, fund and gift-in-kind development; marketing and communications; external partnerships; government relations, chapter engagement, and fostering a positive relationship with Habitat Canada. Additionally, the CEO will assist the Board of Directors in fulfilling its policy and governance function and provide consistent leadership to further the achievement of the organization's mission, vision, and values. The CEO will be responsible for building a strong and dedicated senior leadership team to further Habitat’s well-established reputation of cultivating a culture of energy and passion to embrace its objectives. The CEO will be tasked with creating, leading, and delivering a strategic plan for Habitat Saskatchewan, which will define the vision and role of a new provincial structure, establishing a plan to implement that vision and role, and create a system of metrics to monitor and communicate progress towards achieving the vision and role.
The ideal candidate has a successful and proven tenure in senior executive roles, experience leading organizations through growth and evolution, and proficient external relations skills which help you to passionately articulate the importance of affordable housing to audiences both large and small; urban and rural; corporate, government and philanthropic. You must have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of best practices in good governance; financial management; land management and home building; donor stewardship; change management and organizational strategy. You understand the non-profit sector through your tenure as an executive or as an active board member. You have demonstrated experience creating and maintaining a culture that embodies an organization’s ethics, values, and vision in a creative, results-driven, and highly collaborative way. Your experience growing revenue, ideally through philanthropic donations and government grants, will be considered a strong asset. You align with the values of Habitat for Humanity and have a strong commitment to finding solutions through partnerships.
Salary range is commensurate with provincial CEO positions for non-profit organizations of this size and complexity.
