About Digital Health Canada

Digital Health Canada is a Canadian not-for-profit professional association with over 4,000 members across the country. Our members are a diverse community of accomplished, influential professionals working to make a difference in advancing healthcare through information technology. 

Members are supported by the Digital Health Canada National Office team. Together, the team develops and delivers the networking and professional development programs that create value for our members: events and webinars, education and certification, and thought leadership. Team members work remotely, collaborating through online chat, virtual conferences, and weekly team meetings. 

Position Title: Member Engagement Coordinator

Reports to: Executive Director

Status: One-year contract with possibility of moving to Full-time

Location: Work from home in the Greater Toronto Area

Closing Date: June 30, 2021

Start Date: July 26, 2021

Salary Range: $43,000 - $50,000

You understand the mission of a member-driven association and are committed to enhancing the member experience with clear communication, consistent programming support, and a member-first approach to everything you do.

Overview of the position

The Member Engagement Specialist is responsible for:

  • Working with Director of Sales on proposals and sponsor fulfillment
  • Working with Manager, Communication with social media requirements
  • Responding to member inquiries
  • Working with member volunteers to ensure they are matched with a suitable volunteer role
  • Working with Academic Institutional Members (colleges and universities) to support programming and communications
  • Creating and monitoring member engagement opportunities using online tools
  • Supporting the events team at regional and national events (virtual and in-person)
  • Supporting national conference team with registration and other tasks as needed
  • Monitoring member information and engagement in the association management system and member area of the website
  • General administrative support and other duties as required 

Requirements

The successful candidate must be able to hit the ground running and be ready to fully support the Digital Health Canada member community. The ideal candidate possesses:

  • University or college degree
  • 3-5 years demonstrated experience in association management or volunteer coordination
  • Strong business communication/plain language writing skills
  • Proven MS Office skills
  • Experience with social media and online communication tools (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Hootsuite, WordPress, MailChimp)
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and mindset (this is a must for our small but mighty team!)
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently at home (you have a dedicated workspace with reliable wifi, cell phone, and solid time management skills)
