We are currently accepting applications to fill this vacant position and establish a pool (for up to 12 months) of qualified ADM/EFOs to fill future vacancies across the BC Public Service.

In cooperation with local governments, not-for-profit organizations and B.C. residents, the Ministry of Municipal Affairs strives to build strong, safe, and diverse communities. The Assistant Deputy Minister and Executive Financial Officer (ADM/EFO), Corporate Services, provides direction in the provision of a comprehensive range of services such as financial and administrative services; strategic human resources; information systems, organizational performance planning, and communications; ensuring that these services are fully integrated and aligned with the client organizations’ goals and objectives. The ADM/EFO must demonstrate leadership, tact, and judgment to balance the roles of both service provider (shared services) and client (representing interests of client ministries) on government committees. 

The incumbent is a seasoned leader with substantial experience in delivering strategies supporting corporate services for a diverse client portfolio. The role also demands significant analytical capacity and government accounting expertise to oversee annual operating expenditures through various funding models, including a mix of voted appropriations and full cost recovery accounts. The ideal candidate will have university degree in a related discipline, and at least 5 years senior leadership experience, leading and empowering multidisciplinary teams, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
