Founded in 1990, IAP2 Canada is an association of professionals in the field of public participation (P2), who seek to promote and improve the practice in relation to individuals, governments, institutions and other entities that affect the public interest in Canada and around the world. Its programs advance public participation through professional development, networking and events, advocacy for effective public participation, and advancing the practice.

IAP2 has over 1,000 members across Canada. It is a diverse community of professionals, citizens, academics, and decision-makers who are committed to involving the public in decisions that affect them. Over a third of our members are part of bundle memberships taken out by organizations -- government entities, corporations and consulting firms, among others.
