Membership Development Coordinator

Reporting to the Director of Membership & Development, you will be responsible for developing and delivering services for OTLA members, encouraging engagement and supporting the Member Services Committee.  A self-starter, you will use your skills to:

 

  • Develop and implement member services in accordance with the Strategic Plan;
  • Research new techniques and best practices in membership development and engagement;
  • Work with the Member Services Committee to determine best practices in meeting the needs of OTLA members;
  • Identify potential new members and member recruitment planning;
  • Support specialized sections and activities including elections;
  • Recruit and engage active volunteers;
  • Coordinate regional, roundtable and section meetings;
  • Develop and implement member surveys and provide analysis as requested;
  • Some travel throughout the province when COVID protocols lifted.

You can support high-profile individuals and provide high-standard membership planning. Ideally, you have a university degree or equivalent experience in membership retention and development and have 5 years of demonstrated working experience preferably with a non-profit association.

  • Excellent planning and project management of professional level member services;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments from a variety of staff and volunteers;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including writing, proof-reading, and speaking; in English, with high expectations for quality and accuracy
  • Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision;
  • Strong customer service ethic and high degree of professionalism;
  • Enthusiastic with ability to be solution-oriented and make sound judgments;
  • Proficient using the latest versions of Office 365 and Creative Cloud;
  • Discretion is necessary when handling confidential information;
  • Flexibility to travel provincially as required within COVID protocols;
  • Mandatory, proof of COVID-19 Vaccination.
     

Compensation :  $45,000-$55,000/yr., 3 weeks paid vacation, medical & dental benefits after successfully completing 3 month probation.
