Engineers Canada has an opening for a Manager, Member Services. The Manager, Member Services leads our strategic planning, development, and management of member services programs, including services for member regulators, initiatives, and resources. The Manager fosters effective partnerships and working relationships with stakeholders, undertakes research, long-term planning, and market analysis, and adopts a continuous quality improvement approach to ensure satisfaction with and growth of programs and services.
- Key Accountabilities
- Directs the operations of the member services team including research, projects, and continual improvement of program offerings and client experience.
- Develops, delivers, and manages member services programs and products/services for the member regulators, authorized third parties, and engineers.
- Monitors and evaluates sponsored programs and services for member regulators and service providers.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with regulators, partners, service providers, and professional groups.
- Undertakes research and long-term planning and develops strategies to ensure continued success, sustainability and growth of affinity and service programs for the member regulators.
- Identifies and monitors emerging benefits, products, and/or enhancements to current products and services in the marketplace.
- Manages Engineers Canada’s responsibilities as set out in program and product/services agreements and contracts.
- Provides staff leadership and support to associated committees at Engineers Canada as needed.
- Job Qualifications and Education
Education: Graduate from a recognized University, specializing in Commerce or Business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Minimum of (5) five years of experience in program development and management of professional association member service programs and services.
Minimum of (3) three years of management and team leadership experience.
Proficient in the use of Project Management principles, practices, and tools with a track record of delivering projects on time and on budget.
Experience working with the wide diversity of cultures within staff, volunteers, clients, and the community in general with a proven ability to build credibility and maintain collaborative and/or trusting relationships internally and externally.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving and time management skills.
Highly collaborative with strong oral and written communication skills and ability to influence others.
Desirable: Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office 365 Business, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
Experience with staff supervision, work planning, budget creation, development, and control.
General knowledge of insurance products and processes.
Language: Proficiency in English is required. Proficiency in French is an asset.
Working Conditions: There is a requirement to occasionally work weekends and evenings as well as occasional travel within Canada
