The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure plans transportation networks and provides transportation services and infrastructure. The Ministry also develops and implements transportation policies and administers many related acts and regulations as well as federal-provincial funding programs, including the Investing in Canada Fund.
The Strategic and Corporate Priorities division is a new division within the ministry and the new ADM will be responsible for bringing together branches to form a cohesive, well-supported division. This will require thoughtful change management, concerted engagement and inclusive leadership.
The ADM of Strategic and Corporate Priorities has a unique vantage point, leading ministry-wide work and coordinating across every business line within the ministry. The ADM will play a leadership role coordinating all-of-government initiatives on behalf of the ministry, liaising on large priority strategies such as CleanBC and StrongerBC. They will also help coordinate ministry efforts in support of critical corporate initiatives such as reconciliation, GBA+ and diversity, equity and inclusion.
The ADM will be tasked with engaging others to create, implement, and update the ministry’s strategic plan and ensuring alignment with the key priorities and initiatives.
The incumbent will have demonstrated experience successfully leading senior/professional teams, strategic projects, policies and programs. They will have the understanding and knowledge of policy development, project management, and strategic corporate planning and performance management. The successful candidate will have a related post-secondary degree combined with at least five senior, related leadership experience in a large, complex public sector organization. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
