The Ministry of Citizens’ Services delivers key services that people rely on including accessible, multi-channel services to urban and rural communities through Service BC, and the digital face of government at www.gov.bc.ca.

The Government Digital Experience Division is responsible for ensuring government services and information are available online through government’s main web presence at www.gov.bc.ca, and that ministry programs and services are informed by the input and experiences of British Columbians. The division designs and delivers products and services to ministry partners and organizations including public engagement projects, field research with service users, plain language writing of online service information, analytics, and training.

Reporting directly to the Deputy Minister of Citizens’ Services, the Assistant Deputy Minister, Government Digital Experience is responsible for supporting ministries across government in the pursuit of excellent people-centred service experiences and inclusive policy and program development. This position leads the provision of cost-recoverable technology and advisory services, including connected service experiences, service design, digital engagement, and citizen engagement.  This position is also responsible to ensure compliance with the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) policy and standards as well as alignment with the Government Digital Strategic Plan.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic, experienced, and measured executive or senior leader with substantial talent in creating agreements and navigating complex relationships while maximizing organizational effectiveness in a high-profile environment. This position requires post secondary education as well as substantial leadership experience in information management, business or public administration, financial management or the equivalent.
