The Hotel Association of Canada (HAC) is the exclusive national organization and leading voice representing the Canadian Hotel & Lodging industry, bringing timely solutions to industry challenges. We represent corporate hotel companies, ownership groups, provincial hotel associations, city hotel associations, and independent hotels. VP Finance & Operations

Reporting to the President & CEO, and as a key member of an energized senior leadership team of HAC, you will be responsible for the overall direction, management and leadership of all aspects related to Finance, Human Resources, IT and Facilities functions within the Association. You will participate in strategic planning, providing change leadership and responsibility for planning and execution of the approved operating budget and operational plan, consistent with HAC’s mission and vision. You will play a critical role as a catalyst for change as we meet the challenges of scaling up our impact across Canada.

 

You hold a professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) and/or a degree in business (or equivalent working experience), with a minimum of 6-8 years relevant progressive management expertise in finance, along with superior competency in managing organizational support services. Demonstrated skills in leading change, people leadership, financial forecasting and modeling, and IT strategy and operations are definite assets. You are a strategic, values-based leader with strong interpersonal and communications skills, and are an adept problem solver who builds trust through your collaborative style. You have a track record of building new partnerships and leading teams toward ambitious goals and sustainability. Competency in both English and French would be an asset.
