Part-Time Executive Director

The Canadian Center for Ethics & Corporate Policy ( seeks an experienced individual with a business-development mind-set to serve as part-time executive director. This is a new role, reporting to a volunteer Board of Directors. The successful candidate will assume a leadership role in advancing the Center's mission, goals, and membership. Duties may include:

  • Working with the Board to set priorities and to develop and execute strategy,
  • membership recruitment activities and general promotion of the organization,
  • other communication on behalf of the center,
  • supervision of a part-time Administrative Assistant.

The applicant should have an interest in business ethics and a desire to promote and further the Centre’s agenda. Flexible and able to work independently, the successful applicant will be able to work well with volunteers and Board members, and will have strong communication skills, both written and oral. Active use of social media in a business context and a high level of computer knowledge and ability are assets. While most work will be conducted virtually, presence in Toronto for in-person events will be essential.

This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension based on performance and the needs of the Center. Compensation is comprised of fixed salary based upon an average of 5 hours per week at a rate of $75/hr.
