Position

Seeking an experienced, dynamic, organized, energetic, and outgoing individual with excellent communication skills to support the Association’s Membership and the Board Secretariat functions.  The Manager, Executive and Member Services (Manager) Final plays a central role in supporting the office of the President and CEO in managing the organization’s Board and governance work. In addition, the Manager works closely with the Senior Manager, Membership and Events to grow and manage the Association’s membership.  

Executive Services

  • Work with President and CEO to:
    • Support Board Secretariat work
      • Board of Directors meeting coordination, communications, and agenda setting
    • Assist with the preparation, completion input, tracking and/or review of reports, correspondence, data and records
    • Manage the Association’s monthly advocacy reporting (Lobbyist Registration)

Membership & Events

  • Work with Senior Manager, Membership and Events to support:
    • New member identification and recruitment work
    • For Association’s work with existing members
    • Programming and member experience at key Association events

Qualifications/Experience

  • 5+ years of experience working in an association or similar member-based organization
  • Experience working with a board of directors and executive committees
  • Experience with meeting management (i.e. agenda setting, compiling board packages, taking minutes, etc.)
  • Strong judgement, attention to detail, and communication skills, both verbal and written (includes writing, editing, proofreading,)
  • Excellent relationship building and networking skills
  • Planning, time management, organizational and situational analysis skills to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and complete multiple tasks on time with limited supervision
  • Ability to manage changing situations and priorities
  • Experience in event design, development, coordination, and implementation
  • Significant senior office administration experience supporting executive-level personnel
  • Bilingualism is an asset
