WHO YOU ARE: 
You’re a professional with corporate governance  experience, interested in volunteering to help  select candidates for CIRA’s board. This opportunity  lets you contribute to a purpose-driven not-for-profit working to improve Canada's digital future.


WHAT YOU BRING: 

  • experience identifying and selecting superior candidates;
  • understanding of the experiences of a diverse range of industry sectors;
  • knowledge of corporate governance (mandatory);
  • an interest in supporting the development of the internet in Canada; and
  • availability for two years and a commitment up to five days for candidate review and selection (depending on the number of applications received)

COMMITMENT:

  1. April/May: attendance at one or two virtual meetings (approx. 3-4 hours total)
  2. June: review and evaluation of candidates (using online system (approx. 10-15 hours)
  3. July: attendance at a full-day meeting in Ottawa on July 9, 2025 (mandatory).
  4. February/March 2026: attendance at one virtual meeting (approx. 1-2 hours total)
