The Membership and Communications Manager will be a key member of our dynamic public affairs team. They will utilize their experience and administrative expertise to support the day-to-day operations of several industry associations and assist firm executives with public affairs campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Event planning including registration, and logistics management in advance and and on-site management during events
  • Maintaining membership lists and managing renewals
  • Supporting members by phone and email 
  • Board and committee meeting preparation and follow-up 
  • Expense tracking
  • Preparing presentations/reports as required 
  • Writing bulletins, and other external communications products
  • Managing social media presence, including on X, LinkedIn, Instagram
  • Tracking issues and legislation

Expertise

  • Association background or experience in an administrative role is an asset 
  • College diploma or Bachelor’s degree 
  • Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Proficient with social media tools
  • Ability to work independently, 

Job Type

  • Full Time (40 hours per week), in-person out of our office in mid-town Toronto 
  • Approximately one evening per month
