Executive Director

The Role

As Executive Director you will focus on maintaining and enhancing our operational excellence. You will bring a strategic flair to the role in the areas of business and brand development through exceptional communication in public, media, and government relations.

You will be the “face” of the organization, expanding our strong brand and focusing on permanence in the pursuit of our goal of finding a family for every child.

You are well versed in corporate and business planning as well as operations and financial management. You have a thorough understanding of program services and exceptional communication and public relations skills. You are an action-oriented individual ready to roll up your sleeves and get involved where necessary to support and drive organizational excellence. You thrive on developing innovative and inspiring methods to raise funds.

You are sensitive to and understand Indigenous and intercultural interactions. You adapt to cultural differences and embrace diversity, understanding its impact as it relates to child welfare and adoption.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, you will lead a team of senior managers, 20 plus staff and volunteers dedicated to sustaining and enhancing the strategic development and operational goals of the organization

You are a senior level leader. Experience in a not-for-profit environment is an asset. You possess a Master’s degree in a related field or have a combination of education and equivalent experience.
