Director of Finance

In this newly created role, the Director of Finance is responsible for leading and managing the effectiveness and efficiency of the day-to-day financial management and budgeting (including payroll administration) of the Association.   Reporting to, and working closely with, the CEO, the Director will ensure visibility of financial performance and auditing, compliance with investment policy and CRA reporting.  An early priority will be to review and enhance the policy framework for financial operations, risk management, and investment management.

Capable of being a strategic business partner to the CEO, the ideal candidate possesses a track record of 10 years minimum of success as a senior finance leader in a fast paced, professional environment.  Equally comfortable in a strategic or tactical mode delivering consistent results, you are a self-starter who understands risk management and provides excellent guidance, counsel and analysis.  Your ability to make recommendations on a broad range of business, financial, strategic and operational issues will be critical for success.  An undergraduate degree combined with a CPA designation (CA, CGA, CMA) or an MBA in Finance is preferred.
