Executive Director

NNAS has accomplished a great deal during its formative years and is currently seeking its next Executive Director to steward the organization into the next phase of its evolution. An ex-officio member of the Board of Directors, the Executive Director provides sound leadership and direction to NNAS in implementing strategy and policy decisions, and is ultimately accountable for the effective management of all financial, contractual, and administrative aspects of NNAS’s operations.

As the ideal candidate, you possess a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a senior managerial role and proven skill in the strategic management of human, financial, and information management/technology resources. You are highly valued for your business acumen, governance knowledge, and proficiency in strategic planning, change management, program development and evaluation, partnership and collaboration, and policy development.  Excellent communication and relationship management skills will be key to your success in working effectively with a diverse Board, membership, and stakeholder group. You bring a track record of successfully managing and negotiating complex contractual and vendor relationships. Entrepreneurial, forward thinking, creative, solutions and action oriented are all terms peers would use to describe you. Perhaps most importantly, you will seek to collaborate as you challenge the status quo in order to facilitate positive growth and innovation, all while remaining passionately focused on the development of a performance based quality improvement culture.  An understanding of Canada’s nursing regulation model and the public protection role of nurse regulators is an asset, as is demonstrable knowledge of web-based technology and services.
