We invite you to bring your government relations experience to the full-time, one-year contract position of Co-ordinator, Government Relations in CHF Canada’s Ontario Region.
Reporting to the Manager, Government Relations, Ontario Region, you will be responsible for assisting in the execution of the government relations program of the Ontario Region. You’ll play an important role in organizing and attending meetings and events with federal, provincial and municipal elected representatives.
We’re looking for someone
- with a proven and extensive track record in government relations and experience at the municipal, provincial and/or federal political levels
- with excellent oral and written communication skills as well as superior organizational skills are required
- who will exercise sound political judgement and has experience working for community-based organizations
- with a university degree in a related field or equivalent experience. A good understanding of affordable housing policy would be an asset.
The start date for the position is early to mid-September. The position is located in Toronto, with some travel in southern Ontario expected. The ability to work frequent evenings/weekends and a valid driver’s license is required. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
