Executive Director

The OTC is committed to promoting integrated traffic/transportation management in Ontario.  Our members include municipalities, police services, parking authorities, engineers, private sector and not-for-profit organizations and community groups interested in making mobility easier.

Our Executive Director is responsible for the strategic leadership, general/financial management of our organization.  As key advisor and Secretary to the Board you will work with the President, Executive and Committees to deliver effective public policy and services.  You will lead research and advocacy, and grow the OTC through partnership, program and membership development.  Your resourcefulness and strong relationship skills combine to champion our mission.  Financial planning, revenue strategies and fiscal management are second nature to you.  Your creativity shines in the development of programs and events at the forefront of members’ needs, and your collaborative leadership style allows you to work well with our Operations Manager and Committee Chairs to ensure OTC events are relevant and successful.  Well-spoken, knowledgeable of protocol and comfortable in influential circles, you are particularly adept at representing the OTC and on behalf of the Board.

Candidates will have relevant academic credentials and demonstrate successful experience in an executive portfolio, ideally with a blend of business development, public policy, and professional association leadership. CAE designation preferred. Experience working with a Board of Directors or similar is necessary, as is solid business/financial acumen and a proven ability to anticipate, influence and manage change through creativity, innovation and vision. A strategic and critical thinker, you are highly productive and know how to manage issues, projects and people.  You enjoy a reputation for success building partnerships with government, community and industry.  An understanding of government roles/jurisdiction, processes and legislation related to integrated transportation/parking and traffic enforcement in Ontario is preferred.  We are also looking for strong research, writing, presentation, and project management skills and proficiency with technology in an association and member services environment.

The OTC offers a base salary range of $107-123k with bonus plan that rewards new business/revenue development, and car and benefits allowances.  Our offices are located in downtown Toronto.  A clean drivers abstract and reliable vehicle are required for periodic travel to attend meetings and events throughout Ontario.
