The Executive Director, Banking and Cash Management Branch, leads, and is responsible for, the development and maintenance of the banking infrastructure and services that enable government to complete financial transactions with citizens, vendors and employees , and ensures the effective management of government funds related to these transactions.

 

The Executive Director, Banking and Cash Management Branch, provides leadership and direction for administrative and compliance programs that enable government to collect and disburse funds through financial transactions under the authority of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) and in adherence with government core policies and procedures.

 

The Executive Director is responsible for crafting and maintaining a workplace culture in which respect, integrity and the BC Public Service corporate values are demonstrated.

The capital of British Columbia, Victoria is a beautiful city, with beautiful beaches and harbours, and a variety of provincial parks to explore. Located on Vancouver Island, Victoria offers a bustling downtown scene and has a wide range of restaurants and entertainment venues to choose from.

 

Qualifications for this role include:

·         Completion of a related post-secondary degree such as Commerce, Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or an accounting designation

·         Seasoned senior management experience implementing significant change initiatives, leading complex projects and implementing a culture of engagement, collaboration and teamwork

·         Experience dealing with senior decision-makers, executive, finance and legal professionals

·         Experience in a senior management role working with a large organization accountable for cash flow management, treasury management and/or banking

·         Experience working with government financial and accounting policy standards is preferred
