The London Development Institute (LDI) is the voice of the Developer industry in London, Ontario. LDI members use their experience and talent to bring out new possibilities in residential, commercial, or industrial projects. The primary objective of LDI is one of advocacy and partnership with the City of London to keep up with the anticipated growth of the city. Member developers own millions of square feet of commercial office and industrial space and develop thousands of rental and residential properties each year with a vision to continue developing space for expansion and new business, to make sure London stays vibrant, liveable, and successful.
The new Executive Director will be a strong advocate for the industry, growing the organization’s position as a partner to the City of London. S/he will be a trusted advisor to the LDI Board of Directors and membership, with experience managing an organization and excellent communication skills.
As an ideal candidate, you understand municipal government and have a track record of effective advocacy while working with both elected and non-elected partners to impact policy in a positive and constructive way. You have a strong working knowledge of how cities regulate development as well as tangible experience working in or around the issues that are core to LDI. You are collaborative in your approach, adept at managing a variety of stakeholders and a strong negotiator with the ability to multi-task and be flexible.
