CEO

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President & CEO (CEO) is
responsible for directing the CLR in the attainment of organizational
business targets while assuring that the Association fulfills its role
as an effective instrument of support for the achievement of labour
progress and stability.
The CEO helps lead the strategic planning that shapes the future
vision of the construction industry and implements policies and
programs that support the plan. The CEO provides leadership,
guidance and mentorship to the team, and builds a culture centering
on open communication, customer service, personal performance and
employee engagement. Additionally, the CEO serves as Secretary to
the Board of Directors and provides support to its committees.
The ideal candidate will bring exceptional skills in the areas of
leadership, relationship development, communication, negotiation
and collaboration. The CEO will lead the organization to embrace
best practices and be able to influence change through the creation
of a clear vision, and a commitment to customer service, performance
management and accountability.
An inspiring and energetic leader with a forward-looking approach, he/
she will be comfortable interacting with and being accountable to a
Board of Directors and will bring proven success in building effective
relationships with a wide variety of interested stakeholders, while
driving business opportunities and process improvement initiatives.
Exposure to a professional association and familiarity with collective
agreements and labour law is preferred.
