IMMEDIATE FULL-TIME OPPORTUNITY
Position Title: Manager of Membership and Programs
Reports To: President & CEO
Position Summary: In close collaboration with the President & CEO The Manager of Membership and Programs supports the activities of the corporation including but not limited to; membership recruitment and retention, assisting with the development and execution of member programs, managing of large-scale industry events, the association's social media presence, administrative duties, and maintaining of the organization’s corporate records. The Manager also supports the activities of the President & CEO and the Board of Directors and its committees.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for the association’s membership portfolio including member outreach, retention and recruitment
- Responsible for managing of the association’s member programs
- Responsible for identifying information to keep members informed of the organization’s activities on a regular basis
- Coordinates the production of updates to in conjunction with the President
- Responsible for the association’s event management as it relates to the association’s event portfolio
- Responsible for managing of the association’s online presence; website/ social media platforms
- Assist in the development and distribution of association communications including but not limited to press releases, event eblasts, newsletters and other communications
- Responsible for supporting the President in the day to day activities of his/her duties and responsibilities as it relates to the associations plan
- Responsible for supporting the day to day business activities of the corporation
- Participation in a variety of adhoc committees to deliver the strategic objectives of the corporation
- Responsible for the preparation and distribution of Executive, Board agendas, minutes and supporting documentation
- Responsible for maintaining the association’s database
Secondary Responsibility
- Assist in the gathering of data on the industry and communicating data to relevant stakeholders
- Responsible for the associations filing systems as it relates to the associations corporate business
- Responds to Board-related and member inquiries and requests promptly and professionally
- Support government relations efforts with media
- Act as liaison between principle spokesperson and media
- Primary contact and responsible for in-house office systems
- Liaise with Accounting Department on corporate and administrative deliverables
- Research issues as required
Technical/Managerial/Administrative Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Software
- Knowledge of Database Software an asset
- Knowledge of Social Media and Website management an asset
- Knowledge of Adobe InDesign or other graphics program an asset
Professional/ Personal Attributes
- Successful completion of community college or university in a related discipline an asset
- Knowledge of association or not-for-profit an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
