Manager, Programming

Girl Guides of Canada (GGC) provides a safe space where every girl is empowered to be everything she wants to be.

GGC is actively searching for our next Manager of Programming.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading girl-driven organization in a role that impacts the experience of every girl member across Canada!

The Manager, Programming will oversee the development of a strategy that delivers relevant and empowering program experiences to GGC’s 75,000 girl members across Canada.  Leading a team of talented program development, visual design and editing experts, and overseeing the development and translation of all programmatic resources, this individual will engage stakeholders from expert organizations, corporate Canada, and GGC’s massive volunteer base to achieve their vision.  This role will also:

  • Work collaboratively with GGC’s fund development team to secure funding that will enable the elevation of programming across Canada
  • Lead the coordination and design of special program initiatives including GGC’s national service projects and WAGGGS international programming
  • Chair the national Programming Committee
  • Be accountable for overall programmatic quality assurance and application of best practices in non-formal education for girls and young women.

You are the model candidate if you have a talent for working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders from girls and their parents, to our Board of Directors, in order to authentically lead a national programming strategy. You are skilled in strategic thinking, communication and non-formal program design to offer experiences that attract and retain tens of thousands of girls across Canada. You are a highly skilled leader and relationship builder with demonstrated management experience and communication skills, as well as know-how in sponsor engagement, budgetary planning and oversight, program evaluation, communications planning, and volunteer stewardship.  Managing and motivating a diverse and sometimes remote team to achieve impact should come naturally to you.  You have the capacity to build and strengthen national partnerships that support the overarching program delivered by Canada’s leader in girl empowerment.
