Manager, Corporate Partnerships (2-Year Contract)

OACETT is a successful professional association serving an engineering technology clientele that is growing in size and importance to the private and public sectors in the Ontario economy.  We seek an experienced sales and business development professional with a successful track record in relationship-building who can create and maintain strong stakeholder relations with companies, municipalities and colleges who employ or educate our current or future members. 

With an education in business and/or marketing, the ideal candidate is a high-energy self-starter who features excellent presentation, communication and project management skills. He or she is experienced in business development and sponsorship strategies; has a solid understanding of marketing planning and tactics, including social media; and possesses a friendly, enthusiastic and positive attitude.

The Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists is a professional association and certifying body that supports the development and recognition of 25,000 members in engineering and applied science technology.  In support of its membership goals, the association cultivates long-lasting relationships with industry for working professionals, with faculty and administrators of colleges for future graduates, and with government agencies for internationally educated professionals. 

The Manager, Corporate Partnerships is responsible for collaborating on outreach and marketing strategies, making presentations to employers, and representing OACETT at events to build the association’s brand and enhance recognition of OACETT’s certification designations and membership.  You will also launch our new affiliate partnership program and create engaging events to develop other strategic sponsorship opportunities.  You have at least five years of successful sales and business development experience, preferably in a not-for-profit organization or professional association, and the ability to engage audiences at all levels.  

Based in an Etobicoke office, the position entails up to 50% travel within Ontario.  Some limited evening and weekend work may be required for committee, task force and Council meetings.  A competitive salary and an attractive benefits package await the right candidate for this 24-month contract, which may convert to permanent employment in Year 2.

Certifying engineering and applied science technicians and technologists for more than 60 years in Ontario, OACETT awards and manages the C.E.T. and C. Tech. designations.  The association has 28 chapters across Ontario and 30 employees at its head office.
