The Vice-President University Relations has a broad and deep mandate to lead, champion and advance TRU’s internal and external relations priorities. As a key member of the senior executive team, the Vice President University Relations will have overall responsibility for ensuring operational excellence and high-quality delivery in internal and external relations matters, including fundraising and advancement, community relations, ceremonies and events. Reporting to the President, the Vice-President University Relations serves an integral role in the development and implementation of the strategic relationship building priorities for TRU.

The ideal candidate must possess a university degree (graduate degree preferred) and have a proven track record as a fundraising executive and leader who is able to develop and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders in a complex environment. She/he will also be highly strategic, innovative and service-oriented with demonstrated success in fundraising and alumni development. The Vice-President will have substantial executive administration, staff supervision and financial experience, as well as significant organizational development skills, including team building and managing colleagues to support the achievement of the goals and overall vision of TRU.
