Sterling Search, Inc., has been exclusively retained to recruit the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the International Right of Way Association (IRWA). IRWA’s International Executive Committee is seeking a CEO who has demonstrated talent in growing membership, providing member value, consensus building with a Board of Directors, partnering with internal and external stakeholders, overseeing operations and fiscal responsibilities, and leading staff members. 

Building upon 80 years of industry leadership, this is an opportunity to modernize, innovate, and solidify the future direction of the Association. IRWA is poised and ready for the next CEO who will have the vision, experience, and drive to lead the Association through a period of transformational change while galvanizing the support of members and creating a renewed energy with Association partners.

IRWA serves right of way professionals who improve the quality of people’s lives through infrastructure development. Considered the premier source of infrastructure real estate education, IRWA provides industry-specific designations in four areas: electric and utilities, public agencies, oil & gas pipeline, and transportation. In addition, IRWA offers certification in appraisal, asset management, negotiation and acquisition, relocation assistance, and the Uniform Act. IRWA works to create industry-wide recognition of its designations and certifications, and to promote the role of right of way professionals by elevating their industry relevance.
